What a year we are all experiencing with rising costs and raw material markets becoming highly volatile. This means that supply problems are starting to appear everywhere and prices are continuing to increase. Here at Pennine we are doing our upmost to ensure supply and deliveries to you, so that your business can continue uninterrupted.
These market circumstances are driving increased cost and combined with other inflationary factors, are resulting in significant additional costs to our business.
To ensure the supply of products to yourself is secured, we are now forced to implement price increases from 1st November 2021. There will be an increase of 6% on Green, Roast & Ground Coffee, while all other products - especially disposables - will continue to increase in price as our suppliers continue to increase prices.
The coffee market is exceptionally difficult at this time. Nestle and the other Brand suppliers have already increased by 4% and the Green Bean market is showing no let up, and is now nearly double what it was 12 months ago. Ouch!
We have been able to limit the impact on Roast and Ground to only 6% at this time due to our forward buying contracts. Unfortunately, these will not last forever.
Let us hope that the world price of coffee starts to fall as time moves forward and before our contracted positions run out.
