Inza Municipality is located on the western face of the south of the central branch of the Andean mountain range, in the eastern section of Cauca. In conjunction with the Paez municipality they form a region known as Tierradentro. This region is still inhabited by the Paeces indigenous tribe, who make up around 80% of the population there. Total population is now around 2,662 people. With Tolima to the northeast, Huila to the east and the Nariño Department to the south, it is perfectly situated for growing coffee in its mountainous terrain.

The coffee here is picked by the smallholders and generally washed and dried on the farm, often at high altitudes on steep slopes, or brought to a nearby beneficiary for processing. Some will make use of the roofs on their houses for drying patios, before collecting the coffee at the dry mill or cooperative headquarters for cupping, scoring and sorting for export.

All the bags we supply our roasted coffee in include a 1 Way valve for freshness, and Zip Lock so you can easily reseal them to keep the coffee fresh.

Biodegradable coffee bags

The bags we use for our freshly roasted coffee are Omnidegradable, this unique design makes use of PLA for the lining and valve, and zip lock. These bags are shelf stable, and will keep your coffee fresh for as long as you need them. But when disposed of, the entire bag will break down into it's natural components. You can add the bags to compost, they break down to Bio Mass, Cardbon Dioxide and Water all beneficial to plant growth. Biodegradable and compostable, our coffee bags are friendly to the environment and easy to dispose of - you can even dispose of them in your food waste recycling.
