While most catering coffee equipment is hard wearing and realiable, you do need to put some work into keeping it well maintained to ensure it does not break down during a busy service. Keeping the water supply to your equipment filtered to remove limescale is essential to ensure trouble free service, most areas in the UK now seem to have some degree of hardness to the water supply. Limescale and other minerals dissolved in water are fixed as a solid by the heating element of your equipment, over time their build up will coat the element and boiler reducing the elements heating capacity. In the worst case so little water will be left in the boiler because of the scale build up that your element will overheat and break. Repairs to failure like this can be costly and often it will be more cost effective to replace the equipment then repair it. By regularly changing your water filter, and checking the water from your equipment with a hardness test strip, you can ensure it continues to run reliably and effieciently. Regular service visits to your equipment will ensure it continues to run well, reducing the chance it will break down at the most inconveniant moment. Should you require replacement parts for any of the equipment we supply they can be purchased either through us or we can pass you on to the OEM supplier.
