WATER SOFTENERS (Water & Water Treatments)
Base exchange water softeners use a resin bed to ion exchange sodium chloride (salt) for temporary and permanent hardness. The result of this is to have soft water which is slightly salty. This process is ideal in the use of cold water treatment in buildings, dish washing and other non-food applications. Its use in the preparation of food and beverages is not advisable.
